The Class 5-V Vault door provides the following security protection:

• 20 man-hours against surreptitious entry

The Class 5-A Armory Door provides the following security protection:

• 30 man-minutes against covert entry

• 10 man-minutes against force entry

New Lock Specifications

Federal Specification AA-D-600 requires that combination locks used on GSA Approved security Vault Doors must meet the following requirments:

• Class 5-V Vault Doors must have locks meeting Federal Specification FF-L-2740.

• Class 5-A Armory Doors  must have locks meeting Underwriters Laboratory Specification UL 768, Group 1

The Class 5 GSA Approved Vault Doors are built to meet Federal Specification # AA-D-600. Utilized for the storage of government classified material as well as weapons, narcotics, evidence and valuables such as cash, these doors are used in both Armory Vault and Security applications.

Armory Door

The Armory vault door is utilized when storing non-classified materials such as weapons, narcotics, cash, evidence or other valuables. This door, equipped with the S&G 2937 mechanical dial lock that meets the FF-L-2937 and UL 768 rating, is not authorized for the storage of classified information.

Security Door

Utilized for the storage of government classified material as well as weapons, narcotics, evidence and valuables, the security door comes standard with the Kaba-Mas X-09 electromechanical lock. This lock is self-powered and meets the FF-L-2740 government lock specification.

Optional Daygates

The daygates designed for use with our Class 5 Security Vault door swings into the vault and typically is hinged in the same side as the door itself.  Constructed of expanded metal that is reinforced by a heavy steel frame and finished with a gray textured paint, the daygate is built with security in mind.

The full height Daygate with keylock outside and bolt release inside provides for restricted access control during the hours that the vault is open. The standard daygate can also be equipped with a pass-through. The Dutch Door daygate is available with additional options.
